Whats the deal with you always saying the basketball players in Storrs are convicts and making fun of them?I could really give a shit what they do.Those guys this year were smoking weed.Big fucking deal. If your so high and mighty (you fucking cop) then why do you even care about the Grateful Dead? Those guys committed more felonies than you can shake a stick at.Mydland and Kreutzman both have been arrested for beating up there wifes,They sold drugs. You think Garcia never stole Kahns wake-up bag of smack?.......to tell you the truth,Uconn for the most part runs a clean program(well,no one runs a squeaky clean program),and Jim Calhoun is probably a top 5 coach of all-time.All this being said,i dont give a shit what any of these players do.I dont care if they steal, smoke weed, shoot cocaine, whatever. As long as they are not Homosexuals(cant have a fruit in the locker room) i could care less.
That one year about 10 years ago when Duke sucked real bad so in the middle of the season "K" decided to have back surgery so he wouldnt tarnish his reputation of having good teams was a pussy move.He could have decided to have back surgery before the season started....I hate Duke, and i always will.
P.S.- we beat them twice in the final four........

Jesus ... but that's despicable. May your first-born bring his boyfriend home from college with him this Spring ...

Your hate makes us proud - and I figured you to be the type of guy that doesn't give a shit about a program's reputation, graduation rate, etc.

And I have no problem giving Calhoun his due - he certainly outcoached K in '99 (and Rip Hamilton destroyed us) whereas the next time we had no answer for Okafor (and it would have been nice if Deng had not thrown up some shots and let Duhon handle the ball). That said, he's still the second best hoops' coach at UConvict

I was at the game in '99, the problem was the high pick and roll. They guards never got through and Brand always always ended up coving a smaller quicker player.

'Tis true.

I was there as well and remember looking at K on the bemch, who seemed like he was a world away. He was on pain meds and had his hip replaced a few weeks later - but not an excuse for the loss. Duke was outplayed, but it came down to the last shot. Avery was almost completely taken out of that game and for the life of me I could not understand why Magette was riding the pine (if not for having a suspicion it might have been because we saw him at 2 am on Saturday night making the rounds - as I also Brand, Avery and Magette do in Charlotte during the ACC Tourney).

I'm dying laughing. Only Tito can tie the NCAA tourney with John Kahn's "wake up bag of smack". Right about now old Calhoun might be looking for something a bit stronger.
